What it is
When an announcement gets lost in a corridor—or goes to everyone when only one area needs it—staff and visitors feel it. An IP-networked public-address (PA) system sends live, scheduled, or event-triggered messages to selected speaker zones. Networked software can manage sources, priorities, and device status; network amplifiers can also connect existing analogue speakers.
In an emergency, people need clear instructions—not confusion. A siren may signal danger, but occupants may still need to know what to do and where to go. A voice evacuation system delivers prioritized spoken instructions through call stations, controllers, amplifiers, loudspeakers, and alarm interfaces. Unlike ordinary paging, it is a life-safety system with specific certification and installation requirements.
What it covers
- Plan speaker coverage and zones around the people who need to hear.
- Configure paging controls, source priorities, and network coordination.
- Integrate compatible systems, test the full signal path, and hand over a usable system.
- Plan zones, audibility, intelligibility, alarm interfaces, and operator controls around the building’s evacuation strategy.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, and handover with the project team.
